Fall
/ 2015 – 2017 (United we Fall/Fly)This project revolves around a series of portraits and photographs that seeks to locate what could be described as a physical creativity within gravity. Using temporary constructions, built in-situ in various locations, the portraits investigate individual relationships to space, and collectively seek to find unexpected or new connections between people based how they experience space in a room or garden – through movement, dialogue or even through silence. In this way mental connections becomes decompressed and emphasis moves to the physical and its potential to open up a heterotopia (in Foucault’s sense) – a space than can operate outside of our everyday hegemonies.
